How your green packaging can be recycled

Your meals are shipped in insulated packaging that keeps meals cool. Most the components of your order can be recycled and/or reused:

• The box and partitions are made from fully recyclable cardboard. Find a recycling facility here.

• The meal trays are comprised of #3 recyclable PVC. Please refer to your refuse company and/or local recycling facilities regarding the recyclables they accept.

• If your shipment contains greenliner padding (made from carpet padding), you may find a recycling facility here.

• Your greenliner sleeve is made from chip bag foil. Find a recycling facility here.

• The meal tray film is a soft plastic, which can be recycled in certain jurisdictions. If you do not have access to these services, please dispose of the film in your regular trash.

• If your shipments contains styrofoam, you may opt-in to our Recapture and Reuse Program to further reduce our environmental impact.

How we are cultivating a better world

Every choice we make—about who we work with, what we serve, and what we stand for—affects the bigger picture; the health of the planet. Nutrient-rich soil reduces the need for pesticides and synthetic fertilizers, buying locally reduces vehicle emissions from transportation, and humane animal husbandry means diminished reliance on antibiotics. As we strive each day to be better, we keep in mind that everything is connected.

We care deeply about where our ingredients come from. While industrial farming practices have evolved to maximize profits and production, we make an extra effort to partner with farmers, ranchers, and other suppliers whose practices emphasize quality and responsibility.

Commitment to the military

Veterans and military spouses play a vital role in strengthening our communities, and our company, through leadership, service and civic engagement. Veterans are more likely to stay socially active, volunteer, and give to charity compared to their nonmilitary counterparts when they return to civil life. That is why we have launched the “Stars and Stripes Initiative” which places an extra effort to hire veterans and military spouses.
