Ingredients for Brussel Sprouts and Bacon Recipe
- 1lb brussels sprouts
- 1/4 stick butter
- 1 Tbsp olive oil (healthy keto fats)
- 1/4 pound bacon (4-5 strips of your favorite kind)
- 1/4 cup Vegetable stock (from bullion or pre-packaged)

- Cauliflower mashed (pre-packaged)
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese (for keto fats)
- 1/4 cup heavy cream or half-n-half (for keto fats)
Sautéed Brussels Sprouts Cooking Directions
The first part of our low carb keto bacon recipe involves using a pan to sautée the brussel sprouts with the bacon.
Prepare brussels sprouts: Cut the bottoms off of the brussel sprouts, then depending on size, cut in half (smaller sized) or quarters (larger sized).
Slice the bacon into strips. Then, in a saucepan on high heat melt the butter and place the olive oil and bacon lardons (short strips) into the pan
Cook until the bacon is crispy and the keto fat is rendered out of the bacon.
Add the cut brussel sprouts into the skillet along with bacon, oil and fat – for all you keto minded folks.
Toss all ingredients to coat sprouts and begin to sear.
Add vegetable stock (this will help cook sprouts with the steam).
Cook until stock reduces to almost nothing and sprouts begin to sear.
Swirl with wooden spoon or spatula, scraping all the magical delicious bits from the pan.
Serve on top of parmesan low carb cauliflower mashed.
Optional finishes: drizzle with balsamic vinegar reduction, and/or sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese.

The second part of our low carb bacon keto recipe is taking the low carb cauliflower mash recipe and tweaking it for keto by adding some sources of healthy fats to get your body into a state of ketosis.
Place 2 Tablespoons butter in a saucepan and melt on medium heat
Using prepared mashed potatoes your favorite way, put 1 cup mashed into the saucepan
Also place 1/4 cup half-n-half or heavy cream into the saucepan
Heat while stirring to incorporate all into a creamy consistency
Add 1/4 cup grated parmesan and stir until fully incorporated
